Description

This tender and flavorful beef brisket recipe, cooked in the oven, is perfect for family dinners or gatherings. It’s seasoned to perfection and slow-cooked for ultimate tenderness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Rub the brisket with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Place the brisket in a roasting pan, fat side up.
  4. Mix beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then pour around the brisket in the pan.
  5. Cover tightly with foil and roast for about 4 hours, or until tender.
  6. Remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes to develop a crust.
  7. Let the brisket rest for 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For best results, allow the brisket to marinate overnight in the seasoning.
  • Always slice against the grain for the most tender pieces.
