- 1 cup mixed dried fruits
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup cherries, chopped
- 1/2 cup orange zest
- 1/4 cup lemon zest
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the dried fruits, walnuts, and zests together.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; gradually add to the butter mixture.
- Fold in the fruit mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving. Enjoy!

- For best flavor, make the cake a week in advance to let the flavors develop.
