- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, stirring until it comes to a boil.
- Remove from heat and pour the mixture evenly over the crackers.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
- Let the chocolate sit for a few minutes until melted, then spread evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired and refrigerate until set.
