Description

The perfect dough for a delicious homemade pizza, using bread flour for extra chewiness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine bread flour, salt, and sugar.
  2. In a separate smaller bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture.
  4. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, until doubled in size.
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and shape as desired for pizza.

Notes

  • For best results, let the dough rise longer for more flavor.
