- 1 pound carne asada
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 cups cheese, shredded (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup jalapeños, sliced
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Cut the russet potatoes into fries and toss them with salt and pepper.
- Spread the fries on a baking sheet and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the fries are baking, grill the carne asada over medium-high heat until cooked to your desired doneness, then slice thinly.
- Remove fries from the oven, top with the grilled carne asada and shredded cheese.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Top with guacamole, sour cream, jalapeños, and cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the carne asada overnight.
- Feel free to add toppings like pico de gallo or black beans.
