Description

Delicious Carne Asada Fries topped with melted cheese, guacamole, and sour cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound carne asada
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 cups cheese, shredded (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup jalapeños, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cut the russet potatoes into fries and toss them with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread the fries on a baking sheet and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. While the fries are baking, grill the carne asada over medium-high heat until cooked to your desired doneness, then slice thinly.
  5. Remove fries from the oven, top with the grilled carne asada and shredded cheese.
  6. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
  7. Top with guacamole, sour cream, jalapeños, and cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the carne asada overnight.
  • Feel free to add toppings like pico de gallo or black beans.
