Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup grated cheese (Gruyère or similar)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil.
- Remove from heat, then stir in flour until it forms a ball.
- Allow to cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in cheese, salt, and cayenne.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden.
