Instructions

- In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy.
- Add the cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add the sugar while beating until stiff peaks form.
- Mix in the vanilla and peppermint extracts.
- Add green food coloring and gently fold until combined.
- Transfer the meringue to a piping bag and pipe into the shape of Christmas trees on the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with your choice of decorations.
- Bake for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, then turn off the oven and let the cookies cool inside for several hours.
