Description

Delicious, soft honey buns that are perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, honey, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 10 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the dough and shape it into balls.
  7. Place the balls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth and drizzle over the buns while warm.

Notes
