Ingredients

- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, honey, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into balls.
- Place the balls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth and drizzle over the buns while warm.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh yeast.
- These buns freeze well; wrap tightly and freeze for up to a month.
