Description
A refreshing traditional Mexican beverage made from rice, almonds, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Ingredients

- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1/2 cup blanched almonds
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Rinse the rice and soak it in water with the cinnamon stick for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Drain and blend the rice mixture with almonds and 2 cups of fresh water until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher.
- Add the remaining water, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Stir well until sugar dissolves.
- Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, you can use evaporated milk instead of regular milk.
- Adjust sweetness according to your preference.
