Description

This comforting Crockpot Chicken and Rice recipe is a simple, flavorful meal that the whole family will love.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups long-grain rice
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup frozen peas


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add the rice, chicken broth, diced onion, diced carrots, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir to combine ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Once done, shred the chicken and stir in the frozen peas. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can use seasoned chicken broth.
  • This dish can be made with brown rice, but the cooking time will need to be adjusted.
