- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped

- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- To taste salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the onion, green bell pepper, celery, and garlic, and sauté until soft.
- Stir in the flour and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and Cajun seasoning, and bring to a simmer.
- Add the shrimp and cook until they are pink and cooked through.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve hot over rice or with crusty bread.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños or more Cajun seasoning.
