Description

Delicious and crispy homemade French fries that taste just like McDonald’s!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 quarts vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips.
  2. Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Drain and dry the potatoes with a clean towel.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. While still hot, sprinkle with salt and vinegar if desired.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can double fry the potatoes.
  • Make sure the oil is at the right temperature to avoid greasy fries.
