A simple and delicious homemade teriyaki sauce recipe that’s perfect for stir-fries and marinades.
Ingredients

- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
- Bring to a simmer and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Slowly add cornstarch mixture to the saucepan and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
- This sauce can be adjusted to taste by adding more or less sugar.
- Use it as a marinade for chicken, beef, or vegetables.
- Can be stored for up to two weeks in the refrigerator.
