- 2 cups brown sugar

- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 cups diced apples

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, brown the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Stir in the browned butter.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and nuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

- These blondies are best enjoyed warm, but they can also be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
