A deliciously spicy twist on the classic jalapeno poppers, perfectly flaky and cheesy.

- 1 package crescent roll dough
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced jalapenos, seeds removed
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, diced jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough from the wide end to the narrow end, forming a twist.
- Brush the twists with the beaten egg.
- Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a milder version, use fewer jalapenos.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
- These twists can be made ahead of time and frozen, then baked straight from the freezer.
