Description

This no knead cheddar jalapeño bread is a deliciously cheesy and slightly spicy bread that’s incredibly easy to make.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 jalapeño, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add the water and stir until a wet dough forms.
  3. Fold in the cheddar and jalapeño.
  4. Cover and let rise for 12 to 18 hours at room temperature.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
  6. Shape the dough and let it rise for another hour.
  7. Carefully transfer the dough into the hot Dutch oven and cover it.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes covered, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Let the bread cool before slicing for better texture.
  • This bread can be served warm with butter.
