Description

A healthy and delicious twist on traditional dhokla made with oats, perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon green chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for greasing)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix rolled oats, yogurt, water, turmeric powder, ginger paste, green chili paste, and salt. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. After resting, add baking soda and lemon juice to the mixture and mix well.
  3. Grease a steaming dish with oil.
  4. Pour the batter into the greased dish and spread evenly.
  5. Steam in a steamer for about 15-20 minutes until cooked.
  6. Once done, let it cool for a few minutes and cut into squares.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and sesame seeds.
  8. Serve hot with green chutney.
