Description

A delicious and easy slow cooker recipe featuring tender beef with a sweet and savory pineapple sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks, fresh or canned
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 green onions, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  2. Place flank steak and pineapple chunks in the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the sauce over the beef and pineapple, making sure everything is well coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  5. Before serving, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry, and add to the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  6. Serve over rice and garnish with chopped green onions.
