Description

Deliciously soft and chewy Snickerdoodle cookies rolled in cinnamon sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rolling)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar for rolling.
  7. Roll the dough into balls and then roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
