Deliciously soft and chewy Snickerdoodle cookies rolled in cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar for rolling.
- Roll the dough into balls and then roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

- For extra flavor, refrigerate the dough for an hour before baking.
