Deliciously soft and chewy snickerdoodle cookies coated in cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until well combined.
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for rolling.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place on baking sheets and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- Store in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
