Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sugars, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, buttermilk, and maple syrup until combined.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan about 2/3 full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and maple syrup to desired consistency and drizzle over the cooled donuts.
