- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are nicely browned.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, chill the dough before baking.
- Use a mix of dark and milk chocolate chips for added flavor.
